Ladder Training

As part of the East Brookfield Fire Department's training program firefighters from East Brookfield learn about ladders in a class taught by guest instructor Jim Lapiere

The course teaches students how and when to use a variety of both ground and aerial ladders. Also built into the class is a large amount of firefighter safety. Participants learn not only how to rescue a civilian from a burning building, but also how to rescue a downed firefighter or themselves.

Water Supply Training

As part of the East Brookfield Fire Department's training program firefighters from East Brookfield learn how to properly set up a water supply in the hydrant district.

This course teaches firefighters how to dress a hydrant, lay a single and double supply line to the scene, use hose clamps, and acts as a review of engine pump operations. Participants were broken up into groups and sent through timed revolutions to practice under a controlled pressure situation

Large Diameter Hose Training

As part of the East Brookfield Fire Department's training program firefighters from East Brookfield learn how to use the new large diameter hose.

This course teaches firefighters how to dress a hydrant, lay the LDH supply line, use the hydrant valve and review pump operation. Participants were broken up into groups and practiced operating the supply truck and the truck being fed.
